PrimSource takes serious the quality of honey and honey products that will be available through the PrimSource website. Therefore we aim to work only with local beekeepers / producers that are as passionate about the quality of their products as we are.
What does that mean?
It means we connect you only with local beekeepers / producers that place their beehives in the middle of nature with plenty of “food” for the bee folks.
But have you ever heard that beekeepers feed their bee folks with sugar water or syrup, or fondant, or candy boards or any type of medicine?
If not then you have to know this happens !
And the reasons are multiple – winter period and early spring when the “food” for bees is scarce, unsuitable regions for placing bee hives, weak colonies, and many other reasons. It is however acceptable that bee colonies are fed sugar water or other supplements during winter and early spring without beekeepers would collect the honey and honey products and sell them as “natural” products.
But it’s absolutely unacceptable that local beekeepers / producers feed their bee colonies with supplements and claim the final product is called “honey”.
To avoid this, we at PrimSource connect you only with local beekeepers / producers that place their beehives in the middle of nature such as woods, near flower fields, mountains, etc. So that you can enjoy clean, pure honey and honey products!
